Dentures

What are Dentures and Why Would I Need Them?

A denture is a type of tooth replacement option that may be recommended by Dr. Duran. Daniel A. Duran DDS, PA, can replace some or all of your missing teeth. In our dental office, we make all types of dentures and take great pride in the quality of our work.

These Aren’t Your Grandpa’s Dentures

A full denture is a time-tested method for replacing all the teeth missing from either the top or bottom dental arch. Whether you’ve lost your teeth to tooth decay, gum disease, accident, or neglect, a well-constructed full denture is a wonderful way to replace your missing teeth. A well-fitting denture can restore confidence in your smile and, more importantly, can allow you to enjoy the simplest pleasure in life: eating!

The materials used to construct dentures vary according to each patient’s needs. We offer different sizes, shapes, colors, and materials of denture teeth to meet the high esthetic demands of today’s patients. We also offer partial dentures for patients who don’t yet require a full set of dentures. Your dentist will customize your denture for your needs. At Daniel A. Duran DDS, PA, we are committed to providing a high level of patient care, so your dentures will not be finalized until you are 100% happy with them.

What if My Dentures are Loose or Broken?

Sometimes it is a matter of having a denture adjustment appointment or/and tightening your denture clasps/clips. Dr. Duran is uniquely qualified to secure loose fitting dentures with dental implants. Dental implants can be placed and connected to the bottom of your denture allowing for a more secure retention and bite confidence.

Partial Dentures

The loss of one or more teeth can hurt the health and appearance of your smile. Without treatment, missing teeth make eating, speaking, and even smiling difficult. Fortunately, at Daniel A. Duran DDS, PA, we offer an innovative solution for multiple missing teeth: partial dentures. A set of prosthetics will be created with metal clasps on each end. The clasps will attach to the natural teeth on either side of the gap in your smile, anchoring your new restorations in place.

What are Partial Dentures?

When several teeth are missing and a bridge or implants are not an option, an appliance can be constructed by Dr. Duran to replace them. A set of prosthetics will be created with metal clasps on each end. The clasps will attach to the natural teeth on either side of the gap in your smile, anchoring your new restorations in place. Usually one fee is charged no matter the amount of teeth replaced, a very economical way to provide the patient with confidence, comfort, and the ability to enjoy a good meal again! Please make your appointment today to see if partial dentures are the best choice for improving your smile.

Will My Partials Look Natural?

Partials can be made of several different materials. The most common are either metal based or plastic based. The plastic (we prefer Valplast) offers a higher level of flexibility and improved esthetics while metal bases are stronger and more rigid but have a reduced esthetic quality. Every case is different and your dentist will talk to you about your treatment options at the beginning of your treatment. We will design and fabricate partial dentures that look and function like natural teeth.
